Navroz Mubarak Message from Council for British Columbia

March 14, 2018 | British Columbia

On behalf of Mukhi Kamadia Sahebs and Mukhiani Kamadiani Sahebas and all Institutional Leaders, we extend our best wishes and prayers to every member of the Jamat and wish you a Special Diamond Jubilee Navroz Mubarak.

As we know, the Diamond Jubilee is a celebration of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s vision and tireless work, which have steered the Ismaili community through 60 years of sweeping changes in the global landscape at a scale that is unprecedented in history, and which has posed massive social, political and economic challenges.

Navroz signifies a time of spiritual renewal and physical rejuvenation, as well as a spirit of gratitude. The programs, events and services that we have today to improve the quality of life of the Jamat, would not be possible without the thousands of volunteers and donors who contribute significant time, effort, and resources throughout the year. We express our deep gratitude and appreciation for their continued support.

We are pleased to share that a special program of events will take place over the coming weeks to celebrate Navroz.

On Friday, March 16, a Mendhi Night will be held at each Jamatkhana.

Navroz will be observed on Wednesday, March 21, commencing with a flag raising ceremony and light breakfast following morning ceremonies at all Jamatkhanas.

Sherbet and Cake will be served on the evening of Wednesday, March 21 following evening ceremonies.

On Saturday, March 24, in the evening, we will come together to celebrate this special Diamond Jubilee Navroz at all Jamatkhanas for a Jaman and Raas programme. We warmly invite multi-faith family members to join us for all the above celebrations after Jamati ceremonies and look forward to celebrating as one united family.

It is our sincere hope and prayer that the coming months will be a time of excitement, fulfillment, renewal and happiness for each and every member of the Jamat.

On this joyous occasion, we offer our humble shukrana to our beloved Mawlana Hazar Imam for his continued guidance, and pray for peace and stability for the Jamats living in difficult circumstances and for our collective good health, faith, unity, happiness and barakaat.

Ameen.
