The 2019 Ismaili Centre Conversation Series

Six onstage conversations at the nexus of citizenship, identity & religion. Hosted by the Ismaili Centres in Vancouver & Toronto, and co-sponsored by Simon Fraser University, the conversations will be conducted by Dr. Amyn Sajoo, Scholar-in-Residence, SFU Centre for the Comparative Study of Muslim Societies & Cultures. 

Rochelle Steiner is Chief Curator & Associate Director of the Vancouver Art Gallery. A leader in the visual arts for over 20 years, she was dean of the School of Art & Design at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2012.

Prof. Dauvergne is dean of UBC’s Allard School of Law. Her books include Making People Illegal: What Globalization Means for Migration and Law (2008) and The New Politics of Immigration and the End of Settler Societies (2016). 

Dr. Mithani is Regional Medical Director for Fraser Health Residential Care-Assisted Living, and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at UBC. He has an extensive record of research & activism in end-of-life and palliative care.

Time: Registration Opens 1:30 pm  | Program 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Cost: $10.00 per person or $25.00 for all three events
