Meet our Panel!
Sirish Rao is an arts leader, writer, and cultural innovator with deep connections to the international arts world. A trained Himalayan mountain guide, Sirish seeks adventure, embraces risk, and holds a deep respect for the natural world in all the work he does. In 2023, Sirish was appointed Director of Public Engagement and Learning at the Vancouver Art Gallery, a position he currently holds. Sirish contributes to his community by serving on the boards and advisory councils of several not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions, including the Vancouver Foundation, Simon Fraser University, Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC, and Vancouver International Film Festival.
David Gruber is an experienced litigator and Co-Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at a Bennett Jones. He specializes in corporate/commercial litigation, arbitration, restructuring and insolvency, and class actions. With a strong track record in appearing before various courts and handling reported cases, David also has expertise in international and domestic arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, and negotiating dispute settlements. Outside of work David has extensive experience serving on professional, corporate, non-profit and political boards such as Turnaround Management Association, Vancouver International Arbitration Centre, and the Vancouver Hospice Society.
Alyssa Barry is a Principal and Co-Founder at irlabs. She has over 15-years of investor relations, capital markets and corporate communications experience. An activist by nature, she has raised capital, led some of Canada’s most successful activism campaigns, managed M&A transactions and enhanced board governance frameworks. Alyssa has served as a corporate secretary for a TSX-listed REIT and currently serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee and Chair of the Strategy Committee for ALS Canada. Alyssa has quietly coached nearly a dozen women and men in support of their board journeys.
Zameena Dadani is a communication professional with a strong background in change management, digital marketing, and design. With a passion for creativity and a drive to make a positive impact, Zameena has successfully collaborated with diverse clients, helping them develop their brand identity, create engaging content, and implement effective digital strategies. Committed to social causes and personal growth, Zameena actively devotes her time and expertise to a number of board including the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, Realize Strategies Board of Directors and the IABC.
