Ismaili CIVIC Thanksgiving Food Drive
Description
Ismaili CIVIC is hosting a food drive on Saturday, October 16 at Meadowvale and Mississauga Jamatkhanas from 11:00am to 1:00pm ET, in collaboration with the Mississauga Food Bank for Mayor Crombie’s 2021 Thanksgiving Food Drive. Items collected will go towards supporting the growing demand on food banks during the global pandemic.
Monetary contributions are also being accepted. You can make an online donation here.
The following items will be collected at the Jamatkhanas:
Urgently needed items:
- Cooking oil
- Shelf-stable juice
- Peanut butter
- Baby formula / Baby food
- Cereal
- Rice
- Flour and heart-healthy items
Household items:
- Diapers
- Garbage bags
- Cling wrap
- Laundry detergent
- Dish detergent
- Deodorant
- Baby soap
- Shampoo
- Menstrual products
- Razors
Non-perishable food items:
- Beans
- Canned fish and meat
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Soup
- Stew
- Fruit juice
- Grains: flour, pasta, rice, cereal, Kraft Dinner
