Since a tea isn't complete without delicious treats, download some tasty recipes that you can make at home. Enjoy!

This year’s event is particularly exciting, as each one of our entrepreneurs has been nominated by you!

The following speakers from across Canada will be featured this year:

Mary Vellani is this year’s moderator. Mary is the Senior Manager of Cash Management at the Lower Mainland North Commercial Banking Centre for TD Bank. She has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years and obtained her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1998. Mary serves on various boards and committees, and often facilitates financial literacy sessions.

Dr. Saira Sabzaali is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and the founder of Dragonfly Wellness Centre, an online hub for personal growth and spiritual development. Dr. Saira specializes in depression, anxiety, family harmony, and stress-management. She served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Mental Health Association for four years, and is an active volunteer in the community. She has a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and has delivered two TEDx talks.

Leila Keshavjee graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto in 2016. With a passion for health and nutrition, she started Happy Pops - all natural ice pops. She appeared on the season premiere of Dragons’ Den in 2018. Since its launch, Happy Pops has catered over a thousand events for many satisfied customers.

Qudsia Saadat is the co-founder and Head of Brand & Product at Radish, a cooperative delivery start-up that is owned by its restaurant, driver, and consumer members. Prior to Radish, she worked as an artificial intelligence developer at Desjardins Lab and a research assistant at McGill University’s Robaire lab. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Pharmacology from McGill in 2017.

Rabia Dhanani is an advocate for conscious consumerism. Through her experience of living in six countries, she realized the common problems of having a disconnect between sustainability and affordability. In 2020 she founded Siempre Eco, a company that creatively repurposes household items to eliminate waste. By sourcing 80% of the materials and supplies locally, the company aims to participate in the circular economy. Currently, she serves many retail stores across the country and customers from all provinces.

Let’s take the opportunity to recognize the incredible achievements of women in our community who have shown remarkable entrepreneurial spirit and leadership over this past challenging year.
