Circles of Reflection
Circles of Reflection
Description
Circles of Reflection is a speech discussion program that aims to promote dialogue on selected speeches made by Mawlana Hazar Imam. Small groups will be formed in each session, with a guided discussion led by a facilitator. This initiative aims at building on the diversity of thoughts and perspectives to lead to a richer understanding of reviewed speeches. This session will take place as follows:
- Scarborough: Saturday, June 17
- Etobicoke: Saturday, June 17
- Willowdale: Saturday, June 17
We will discuss excerpts of speeches delivered at the Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2016 Ceremony, the Inauguration of Aga Khan Park, and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture Winner's Seminar, concerning climate change, its impacts, and the importance of nature.
These sessions will take place after Jamati ceremonies. Registered participants will be expected to have pre-read materials and be prepared to share their interpretations, learnings, and personal viewpoints. Sessions will be 60 minutes in length. Pre-read materials will be emailed to registered participants before their session. Multi-faith family members are warmly encouraged to participate. This is a family event, and there will be activities for children under 10 years.
