Facets of Faith: Eid and the Blessings of the Ramadan Moon
In a few days there will be a sighting of a new moon, which will mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The following day, we will join our brothers and sisters around the world to commemorate the first day of the month of Shawwal; and the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Join Alwaeza Fawziah Bhatia as she reflects on this blessed month of Ramadan. Just as "the moon stays bright when it doesn't avoid the night" (Mawlana Rumi), we can continue to seek enlightenment and strengthen our connection with the Divine through challenging times.
Although we will be celebrating Eid differently this year, we will reflect on ways we can continue to make it memorable and meaningful through our shared values of compassion, generosity, and kindness.
