Re-Ignite Your Purpose: Conversations With Munira, Part 4 - The Wheel of Life: What Will You Focus On?

Description

When was the last time you thought about your life – your whole life? What areas would you like to focus on more? Are you doing the things that matter the most to you? Join this session to complete your personal wheel of life and think about how you create a life of meaning for you.

This is the fourth session in a six-part series on maximizing your potential, hosted by Munira Premji. Munira is a three-time cancer survivor, HR practitioner, and an accredited coach. Weaving her personal stories with professional best practices, Munira will discuss key concepts that are needed to define our purpose and bring our best self forward. This week, Munira will be in conversation with Sabrina Habib – entrepreneur, innovator, and the co-founder & CEO of Kidogo in Kenya.

Munira Premji is a Human Resources Practitioner, Accredited Coach, as well as a Training and Development Expert. She has more than 25 years of experience in retail, financial services, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in the public sector. Her superpower is supporting organizations in areas of leadership development, organizational effectiveness, talent planning, change, and culture.

Munira is a cancer warrior who battled 3 advanced cancers in a five-year period. She is the author of “Choosing Hope: 1 Woman. 3 Cancers”, previously listed by CBC as one of 40 works of Canadian nonfiction to watch for in the spring of 2020. Sabrina Habib is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Kidogo, the leading childcare network in Kenya. Kidogo improves access to high-quality, affordable early childhood education to low-income families by equipping female entrepreneurs ("Mamapreneurs”) with the knowledge, skills, and support tools to start or grow their own childcare micro-businesses. Prior to Kidogo, Sabrina spent three years working with the Aga Khan Development Network in East Africa, managing an integrated primary health care project. It was during this time that Sabrina first encountered the childcare crisis in Nairobi's informal settlements (slums). Dissatisfied with the status quo and traditional approaches to development, Sabrina and her husband, Afzal Habib, launched Kidogo in 2014.

Sabrina holds a Masters of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University and an Executive Education Certificate in Leading and Scaling Early Childhood Initiatives from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Sabrina has received recognition for her work internationally, including: Forbes' Top 30 Under 30 (2017), Canada's Female Social Entrepreneur of the Year (ELLE Magazine - 2016), Echoing Green Fellow (2016), HRH Prince of Wales / Unilever Young Entrepreneur (2017), and Acumen East Africa Fellow (2020).
