SEED Volunteer Registration 2021-2022

Thank you for your interest in being a SEED program volunteer.

The purpose of the Supportive Environments & Experiences for Development (SEED) early childhood development (ECD) program is to support parents/caregivers and families to be engaged and actively involved in their children's learning and development. Research shows that the first five years of a child's life are the most important phase of their development, and that families, educators, and the community as a whole play a meaningful role in fostering child development by providing children with quality, positive early childhood environments and experiences. 

Through SEED, group sessions enable facilitated discussions for parents and caregivers and promote music and movement, early literacy, spirituality, faith-based, and school-readiness experiences for children.

Various positions are available including facilitators, centre managers, and master trainers. All skill levels are welcome and all training is provided.

Please Note: Although early childhood education (ECE) training is an asset, it is not requried to volunteer for SEED.

 
 
Respecting the privacy of Institutional volunteers and participants is a fundamental value of the Ismaili Institutions of Canada. As such, the following agreement has been developed to ensure that all volunteer and participant personal information provided to you in the course of your service with the SEED program is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. For the purposes of this agreement, ‘confidential’ means that while you are free to talk about the Institutions, the SEED program, and your role, you are not permitted to, verbally or in writing, disclose volunteers’ or participants’ personal information to other Institutional or non-Institutional volunteers, members of your family, the Jamat, or the public, without authorized consent. 
 
Unauthorized disclosure, verbal or in writing, of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and will subject the person(s) who made the unauthorized disclosure to appropriate discipline, including dismissal from their role, if deemed necessary.
 
By entering your name in the box below, you agree to abide by the requirements outlined above, and will inform your manager within 24 hours if you believe any violation (unintentional or otherwise) of this agreement has occurred, by you or another Institutional volunteer. You further understand that violation of this policy on your part will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of your service with the SEED Program.
