Artist Bio (English):
I was born in the heart of Tanzania in 1953 and moved to Vancouver, BC in 1975. I came from a large family household where creativity was encouraged. As a self-taught artist, I was significantly inspired by the British artist and conservationist, David Shepherd.
While I initially started working exclusively with oils, I now employ different media, such as acrylics, gels and texture. I specialize in world landscaping and wild animals but have also generated pieces that explore the human figure and abstract themes. I use vibrant colours in my work because I want to engage the viewer with a lighter, brighter way of seeing and experiencing life.
