Architectural design depicts a specific period in history, telling a story of the people and the region, and leaves the viewer lost in its beauty and wonder.
Through the course of my travels, I have photographed the Blue Mosque in Malaysia, Mowlana Rumi’s Tomb in Konya, Turkey, Altun Ha Mayan Ruins in Belize, Notre Dame in Paris, Thailand's Buddhist Temples, a Jamatkhana on the small Island of Penang, Malaysia, and the Mezquita in Córdoba, Spain.
Today I present the Ali Ibn Talib Mosque in Dubai, a Shia mosque inspired by Persian architecture. It features extensive Persian glazed ceramic tilework, a rich azure blue background and it is inscribed with Islamic calligraphy from the Quran.
