This is the first in a series of pieces inspired by the names of Allah. Looking at the piece straight on, it looks like a mess with no discernable meaning. However, looking at it at a slight angle, you're able to read 'bismillah irRahman irRaheem' in Arabic. Then, by using a mirror for reflection, you can see its translation. This juxtaposition forces the viewer to reflect on their own understanding of the Divine. Note that, when viewed in person, the reflection includes the viewer; however, this is naturally not possible when the work is displayed as a digital image.
