Administrative Coordinator - Child and Womens Health
National Child and Women’s Health portfolio is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to keep meetings, deliverables, and action items organized for the portfolio. This position will be supporting various members and projects. These are new and exciting projects with the opportunity to significantly impact the quality of life and health of the members of the Jamat.
Already Licensed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Facilitators
The Aga Khan Health Board Canada is looking for trained MHFA facilitators who are interested in facilitating MHFA sessions for our Mukhis, Kamardias, Mukhianis and Kamadianis and other Jamati leaders, staff and volunteers.
We are looking for facilitators who have valid licences to facilitate MHFA sessions and have completed the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) upskill training to be qualified to facilitate virtual MHFA sessions.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitating MHFA courses regionally and nationally.
- Working closely with the National Mental Health and Addiction Portfolio Lead and Deputy and Regional Mental Health Leads and Health Boards to plan and organize virtual MHFA sessions.
Requirements: Valid license to facilitate MHFA sessions through the MHCC
Skills that will be considered assets:
- Previous volunteer or employment experience in teaching.
- Previous clinical mental health and addiction experience.
- Ability to deliver MHFA in French
Baby2B Regional Data and Evaluation Manager - Ontario
The Baby2B Regional Data and Evaluation Manager role is to ensure that the specifics of data management collection, data entry and management, and evaluation are carried out for the sessions. Required skills: background and/or experience in data management and health research, proficient in general computer applications, demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.
Baby2B Facilitators
The Baby2b program is a 6-week national program that is coordinated by the Aga Khan Health Board for Canada. Each weekly session will be 2 hours in length with the goal of improving emotional well-being and social support for expectant women and their support person.
The Baby2B program aims to drive a Strengths-based approach and focuses on,
- Empowerment for the development of quality relationship between mothers and infants
- Healthy and mindful approaches to decision making for expectant women, infants and families
- Creating a community-based sustainable approach to support
Responsibilities:
- Take part in initial training provided by National master trainers and ongoing professional trainings
- Support and facilitate the weekly sessions
- Organize sessions, preparing materials and activities and facilitate discussions during sessions
- Conduct follow-ups with parents and act as a support for the duration of the sessions
- Work in a team with other facilitators, regional leads and national leads
- Run 2 6-week session within the year

Deputy, Mental Health and Addiction (MH&A)
As Deputy, MH&A portfolio, you will work closely with the MH&A lead to implement the MH&A strategy. Deputy will be responsible for planning programs and overseeing implementation of MH&A courses (nationally and regionally), working closely with regional mental health leads to implement programs, engaging volunteers in different MH&A initiatives.
The Deputy will participate in virtual meetings and conference calls to plan and coordinate activities and programs and collaborate closely with the rest of the national and regional health board members in addition to members from other boards and portfolios.
A background in mental health and addiction (clinical experience is preferred) and strong leadership skills are desired. Previous institutional experience will be an asset.
Human Resources Coordinator, Mental Health & Addictions - Ontario
The Mental Health HR Coordinator will contribute to the success of the Mental Health & Addictions Portfolio and perform the following:
- Manage, recruit, and onboard all program members
- Coordinate interviews and recruitment of new team members
- Maintain ongoing engagement with team members and stay up to date on member availabilities and schedules
- Stay up current on changing interests and availabilities of team members
- Manage “Opportunities to Serve” and TKN postings and applications
Living Life to the Full (LLTTF) Facilitator
The Mental Health and Addiction (MH&A) portfolio is seeking LLTTF facilitator. LLTTF program is a CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) based program offered over 8 sessions, 1.5 hours each. The course teaches individuals stress management skills and basic tools to deal with daily worries and to enhance mental health. Please find more information by clicking this link.
Responsibilities: Facilitating LLTTF courses regionally and nationally, working closely with the national mental health and addiction portfolio lead, deputy and regional mental health leads and health boards to plan and organize LLTTF sessions.
Skills: interest in the field of mental health, excellent teaching skills, previous facilitation skills. Background knowledge/education/work experience in the field of mental health/addiction and therapy will be an asset along with previous volunteer or employment experience in teaching and clinical mental health and addiction experience.
The health board will cover the cost of training for you to become a facilitator. The health board expects that each facilitator offers at least 2 in-person (3 virtual sessions) per calendar year.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Facilitator
MHFA is a standardized course aimed to teach participants common mental health conditions and crises and first aid measures when helping individuals who might be facing these conditions. Please see further information through this link.
Required skills: 2 years background clinical mental health experience, teaching skills, previous facilitation skills.
Considered an asset: Previous volunteer or employment experience in teaching and clinical mental health and addiction experience
The health board will cover the cost of training for selected candidate to become a facilitator. The health board expects that each facilitator offers at least 6 in-person (8 virtual sessions) per calendar year. Each in-person course is offered over 2 days (12 hours) and the virtual sessions are offered through 6 hours of virtual training.
