Suspension of Walk-in Process at Jamatkhanas

February 21, 2021 | Canada

In order to better protect the health and safety of the Jamat, the process of accepting Jamati members at the door, should space allow, has been discontinued.

Members of the Jamat who wish to attend Jamatkhana are asked to ensure that they have a confirmed allocated spot in the registration system prior to arriving at Jamatkhana.

If you would like to attend evening Jamatkhana ceremonies on a day for which you have not been confirmed, please use the "Waitlist" feature on the Jamatkhana Attendance Registration site to place yourself and members of your household on a waitlist. At 2pm local time every day, the registration system will assign any available spots to individuals on the waitlist for ceremonies that evening. You will receive an email if you have been assigned a spot from the waitlist.  More information on how to use the "Waitlist" feature can be found here.

Starting at 2pm local time every day, you may also check the "JKs with Availability" feature on the Jamatkhana Attendance Registration site in order to see if any spots have become available for evening ceremonies. This feature will be available up to 5 minutes prior to the of start evening ceremonies, and up to 5:15am for morning ceremonies.

These steps are being taken to help reduce the risk of transmission for members of the Jamat having to wait in line or assemble in cars, especially the most vulnerable members of the Jamat.

If you would like help or more information about this process, please contact the Access line at 1-888-536-3599.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
