COVID Precautions for Prairies Region

October 7, 2020 | Canada

Community transmission of COVID-19 is occurring across much of the Prairies region.  New clusters are occurring, but can be controlled through self-isolation, testing and contact tracing to mitigate further spread.

The following precautions should be taken:

  • Wear a mask in all indoor public places
  • Limit public gatherings to a maximum of 10 people indoors and outdoors
  • Stay home when sick
  • Practice social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing and cough etiquette
  • Follow public health guidance on travel and self-isolation
  • Cancel, postpone, reschedule gatherings - especially for people at greater risk and those with chronic medical conditions
  • Vulnerable people, such as seniors, are at increased risk and are encouraged to exercise extra caution
