Volunteer Opportunity: Baby2B Facilitators

Emotional well-being and social support for pregnant women is critical for a successful pregnancy as well as the future well-being of the child. A series of sessions for expectant mothers will empower and activate women to develop quality mother-fetus/infant relationships, create a faith-based opportunity to connect with peers, and establish an informal support system.
We are looking for individuals who can support and facilitate these weekly sessions.
- Organizing sessions, preparing materials, preparing activities, facilitating discussion, and following-up with parents. Facilitator Guidelines will be provided for each weekly session.
- Being a support to parents which includes following-up with parents, providing support, and gathering and supplying additional resources and information to parents, where possible.
- Facilitators may refer parents to other resources and services in the community.
- Facilitators is expected to provide support to each other and request additional support as needed
About the Applicant:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Able to make this commitment for the duration of the program, and maintain dedication to the position
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Be prepared and organized for each session
- A background in healthcare or social services
- Able to attend the initial training and team meetings (virtually)
