Dar al-Ilm
Dar al-Ilm is an immersive program that enables adult learners to seek religious education through engagement with the IIS Secondary curriculum. Over a period of 10 weeks, participants will explore the book Muslim Devotional and Ethical Literature. Through an examination of a range of texts, including mystical poetry, devotional hymns, and historical biographies, from the formative age of Islam to contemporary times, learners are led to explore the diversity and richness of literature that has developed in Muslim societies.
The program will begin on Sunday, February 27 with class offerings on weekday evenings and weekends via Zoom. Interested participants will be required to register and attend a mandatory virtual information session. Only registered participants will be able to access the information session.
Mandatory information sessions will be held on:
- Sunday, February 6 from 10:00am to 11:00am ET
- Tuesday, February 8 from 8:30pm to 9:30pm ET
