Future Ready Initiative: Mental Health
The experience of daily challenges and stress can affect us all, but you are never alone. The Mental Health component of the Future Ready Initiative provides support to individuals and families to enable better management of challenges and situations.
The Future Ready Initiative is powered by countless volunteers, working in cohesion to support vulnerable Canadians using a personalized progress plan. Family Navigators, Future of Work coaches and FastTrak Youth Mentorship mentors receive training on recognizing and triaging mental health concerns among participants.
The mental health training also empowers Family Navigators, Coaches and Mentors to manage sensitive situations while avoiding burnout. In addition, it provides participants access to wellness assessments and direction in securing mental health support in their province. This sphere has been particularly beneficial in servicing newcomer families, to proactively anticipate the unique needs of new immigrants.
