FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance: Supporting Displaced Persons
One of the central mandates of FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance is the provision of emergency support and assistance to individuals displaced from their home countries due to instability or insecurity.
In this important interview, first aired on Friday Night Reflections on July 16, Al-Rahim Moosa, Unit Manager for FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance currently based in Beirut, Lebanon, describes the critical role that the organization played in Syria, providing emergency supports to those impacted by incidents of violence, as well as humanitarian support for those deeply affected by the devastating economic impact of war.
Al-Rahim also discusses the essential role that FOCUS plays in Turkey and Western Europe, providing support to displaced persons from Syria, Afghanistan and elsewhere, to help secure access to essential needs, build resilience and improve quality of life.
The FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance campaign for 2021 is currently underway. Those who wish to contribute to this important work may do so at focusstar.ca.
