Enormous resources have been invested in training teachers and developing the high-quality curriculum materials that are used in Bait-ul Ilm classes. Here in Canada we have professional teachers who support the volunteers in our primary system and full-time teachers for our secondary students in the Encounters program.
In fall 2013, the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) published the Muslim Societies and Civilisations curriculum for the secondary Bait-ul-Ilm (BUI) Encounters system. These beautifully designed books are also for sale to the entire Jamat at the Jamatkhana literature counters.
