Dear Athletes and Volunteers,
We are delighted to wish you our very best for the upcoming North American Ismaili Games. Representing the Canadian Jamat is a special honour, and we hope that you are as proud of your achievements as we are.
These first-ever North American Ismaili Games will be a celebration of our diverse community through sports, bringing together over a thousand athletes and many more Jamati members from across the continent. We hope that this experience will lead to many new memories and friendships that you’ll cherish for years to come.
You are our athletes and will be our Jamat’s ambassadors in Chicago. As you compete, therefore, please remember the ethics and values that guide us – fairness, honesty, generosity, and forgiveness.
We also want to acknowledge the tireless work of volunteers over the last few months to bring us to this stage. This includes regional and national teams as well as our coaches. On behalf of institutional leaders, athletes, organizers and the Jamat, please accept our sincere gratitude for your sacrifices and dedication. Your efforts will help bring the North American Jamat together like never before, and will create tremendous memories and experiences for all. Thank you.
With the games just a few days away, we wish you tremendous success and sincerely thank you for all your efforts. Congratulations – we’ll be cheering for you!
Sincerely,
Malik Z. Talib,
President, Council for Canada
Dr. Moez Rajwani,
