The Canadian Institutions convey warmest congratulations to the Jamat on the Inauguration of the Aga Khan Park. The Inauguration Ceremony took place in the presence of Mawlana Hazar Imam in Toronto on May 25, 2015.
The Aga Khan Park encompasses both the Ismaili Centre, Toronto and the Aga Khan Museum, which were opened in the presence of Mawlana Hazar Imam last September. Together, these three landmark projects will have a significant impact in raising awareness of Islamic civilizations and their contribution to world heritage and knowledge.
The Park itself provides a beautifully landscaped, contemplative public space that can be enjoyed by residents of Toronto and all visitors to the site. We are privileged that Mawlana Hazar Imam has chosen to establish this beautiful new park in Canada.
