Register for iVolunteer
Thank you to all the volunteers who have created their profiles in the new Ismaili Institutions for Canada iVolunteer platform! We hope you are enjoying exploring the new platform and have completed your profiles. The platform is still open for registration and if you haven’t created your profile yet, please do so at iVolunteer profile .
What is iVolunteer?
As announced earlier this month, the Ismaili Institutions for Canada have transitioned from using the Volunteer Management System (VMS) to iVolunteer.
Why are we making the change?
Since we launched the Volunteer Management System in 2017, the needs of our Institutions and our volunteers have changed. While VMS provided operational support for Jamatkhana operations and events, as we’ve continued to introduce the Volunteer Lifecycle into our Institutions, we have realized the need for a more robust system that would allow volunteers the ability to manage their own profiles with the appropriate information. The implementation of iVolunteer is based on feedback we’ve heard from volunteers and Institutional Leadership. This will also allow better record keeping of confidential information like police checks.
How do I register?
If you previously had a police check uploaded, your VMS profile was migrated to iVolunteer and you would have received an email with further instructions. If you did not have a police check previously uploaded, you can create your iVolunteer profile.
Who is the iVolunteer Platform for?
This is for all volunteers of the Ismaili Institutions for Canada – it includes volunteers and leadership from all Boards and Portfolios including, but not limited to the National and Local Council, National and Local ITREB, Ismaili CIVIC, Ismaili Volunteer Corps, and all others.
What will happen to VMS?
Once the transition to iVolunteer is completed, the Volunteer Management System will be taken down. Any personal data stored will be safely removed and the system will no longer be accessible. Please note that the Volunteer ID, the Volunteer Card, and the OneIV app will no longer be required.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your respective Leadership or email the Volunteer Experience team.
