In the spirit of service, the CIVIC program, which stands for “Challenging Ismaili Volunteers In Communities”, was introduced in July 2008 as a Golden Jubilee youth initiative that allows youth between the ages of 13 to 30 to become “ambassadors” for the spirit of voluntary service.  The principle of volunteerism has long been a pillar within the Ismaili community and the CIVIC program provides experiential learning opportunities to allow youth to contribute to the betterment of the societies within which they live.
