To our secondary brothers and sisters in Western Canada, we, the Ontario Secondary Jamat, would like to wish you Mubaraki and share our fondest memories with you.

 

My name is Abeer Sabz Ali & the friend in the picture with me is Sarosha Chagani. We live in Mississauga, Ontario.  My fondest memory from mulaqaat was spending the entire thing with my best friend. My family and I were all separated because we were all volunteering in different areas, without any phones to contact each other. Luckily I was with my best friend, whom I consider family she’s basically my sister. It was an amazing experience, we were hungry no doubt but it was all worth it. It was good to spend such a precious day with an amazing person.

Annual Al-Azhar Open House

Art is a means of expression and reflection. The annual Al-Azhar Open House will showcase the artwork of this year’s Grade 11 and 12 Bait ul Ilm students. The Jamat is invited to engage with the gallery of artwork and develop a deeper understanding on the students’ artistic reflections on spirituality and their faith. Students and facilitators look forward to the Jamat's participation in this exhibition on Saturday, April 14 at Headquarters Jamatkhana after Jamati ceremonies.
