Ismaili Diversity Speaker Presentation: Rizwan Mawani

Start Time:
After Jamati Ceremonies
Location:
Headquarters - Edmonton

In Canada we have seen waves of migrations of Ismaili families from the countries of East and Central Africa, Europe, Indian, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Syria, Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and many others. Each family who has settled here has their own story and experiences to share which contribute to the narrative of our community and its identity. To fully appreciate this tapestry we must be willing to listen, share, and celebrate our common humanity, not just in spirit, but also in day-to-day practice.

You are invited to an interactive and visually rich presentation by scholar Rizwan Mawani on Ismaili Diversity at Headquarters Jamatkhana, on Friday, January 19 after Jamati ceremonies.
