We are pleased to inform the Jamat that all Jamatkhanas in Quebec will re-open as of morning and evening ceremonies on Monday, February 7, 2022.
Please note:
- The Vaccine Passport system will be in effect - proof of vaccination and personal identification will be required to attend Jamatkhana ceremonies
- Confirmed allocations from the Jamatkhana Registration system will NOT be required. The Jamat can attend Jamatkhana on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will continue to monitor government and public health guidelines for any further impacts on Jamatkhana operation.
We urge members of the Jamat to continue to follow all local health and safety precautions, including wearing a well-fitting mask, frequent hand sanitizing, maintaining physical distance of 2 meters from those not in your household, limiting socializing, and staying home if you are not feeling well.
Please remember to use disposable 3-layer masks OR medical-grade masks such as K95s or N95s in Jamatkhana, and ensure that the mask tightly covers your nose, mouth, and chin at all times.
Adult members of the Jamat are strongly encouraged to get their booster doses as soon as they are eligible. It is also recommended that children (5 - 11) and youth (12-17) receive two doses of the vaccine, given the rising rates of infection in that demographic. Please reach out to the ACCESS Line (1-888-536-3599) should you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding as we strive to protect the safety of the Jamat.
