My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Over the past few days, our world has changed rapidly. But in the face of these changes, we remain centred and comforted by our faith, which has sustained the community for centuries.
It is said that the strength of a community is measured in how it responds in times of adversity. As a Jamat, while we are no longer gathering together for now, our bonds as a community remain intact. We are fortunate to live in a time where physical distancing can be replaced with digital “nearing”. This is a time for us to renew our bonds with our families, close friends and neighbours. A time to reflect on our faith, our lives, and to engage with our loved ones more deeply. Take this opportunity to be present in the lives of those who are closest to you, to reach out to relatives who you don’t see as often, and to demonstrate that the Jamat’s values of compassion, consideration, connection and care are not limited by physical boundaries.
On behalf of the Jamati leadership here, I offer sincere gratitude and prayers to all of you who have worked so hard over the last few days, who will continue to be there to serve those who are most in need, and to ensure that we all stay connected during these difficult times.
Thank you.
