Join Dr. Anver Emon, Professor of Law and History at the University of Toronto, for the second instalment of this 5-part conversation series with host Dr Amyn B. Sajoo. Onstage Conversations 2022 are presented by Simon Fraser University, in partnership with the Ismaili Centres. This event will take place in person at the SFU Wosk Centre for Dialogue, as well as virtually via Zoom. ------ Dr Anver Emon is a Canada Research Chair in Religion, Pluralism, & the Rule of Law at the University of Toronto, and founding editor of the Oxford Islamic Legal Studies Series. He holds a doctorate in Law from Yale, and in History from UCLA. He is the recipient of numerous international awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship. Dr Amyn B. Sajoo is a Scholar in Residence at Simon Fraser University's Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies. A specialist in international human rights, civil society and public ethics, Dr Sajoo was educated at King's College London and McGill University. He has taught at the University of British Columbia, McGill, Simon Fraser University and The Institute of Ismaili Studies, and was a 2005 Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University. ------ |
