Illume Ice Hockey Tournament

Lace up your skates for an exciting new addition to Illume 2023!

We are pleased to announce the inaugural Illume Classic, an ice hockey tournament taking place on the weekend of November 10-12, at the National Training Rinks in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

This beloved Canadian pastime crosses age, gender and geography within our Jamat. Now athletes aged 17+ from the Ontario regions can come together to share their passion for hockey and strengthen bonds on the ice.

Experience the thrill of friendly competition and community in 4-on-4 matchups, while creating lasting memories. If successful, this pilot aims to create more ice hockey opportunities connected to future Global Encounters initiatives.

Calling all future hockey stars! Gear up for the Skills Development Camp on Saturday, November 11 at 6pm, in partnership with Hockey Equality.

This fun and engaging session is open to youth born between 2011-2015 and combines skill building with friendly competition. Work on your slap shot, stick handling, and more through drills and exercises led by experienced instructors. Then show off what you've learned in an exhibition game alongside other aspiring players. Families and friends are invited to cheer you on and join in the action!
