Ismaili Diversity - Presented by Rizwan Mawani

Date:
Friday, February 16, 2024
Time:
After Jamati Ceremonies

Canada has seen waves of migrations of Ismaili families from the countries of East and Central Africa, Europe, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Syria, Iran, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and many others. Each family who has settled here has their own story and experiences to share which contribute to the narrative of our community and its identity. To fully appreciate this tapestry we must be willing to listen, share, and celebrate our common humanity, not just in spirit, but also in day-to-day practice.

You are invited to an interactive and visually rich presentation by scholar Rizwan Mawani on Ismaili diversity at Vancouver Headquarters Jamatkhana on Friday, February 16 after Jamati ceremonies.
