Registration and Access Card Pickup for Spectators

All spectators are required to pre-register (at no charge), and will be provided with an Access Card, which will serve as an official photo ID and pass to attend sporting events, and the various Jubilee Games programmes.  If you haven’t already done so, please complete your registration here

Spectators may pick up their access card at the Registration Desks located at the Dubai World Trade Centre at the start of and during the week of the Games.

Please note that spectator registration will close on 7 July 2016.  Please register online at your earliest convenience if you intend to travel to Dubai.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, 23 July, 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Registration now open for spectators attending Jubilee Games in Dubai

All participants, including children above the age of 2 years, who wish to attend the Jubilee Games in Dubai must register using the Spectator Registration Portal. All information, including your travel details, must be completed accurately as it will allow for participation in the different sports and non-sporting activities.  Your information will be kept confidential.  Registration will close July 7, 2016.  Please visit  https://jg.theismaili.org/spectators to register.

Sensational, world-class Dubai to host the Jubilee Games!

The Jubilee Games, first initiated in commemoration of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Golden Jubilee, will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, between July 22-29, 2016. A majority of the sports will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, a facility that hosts world-class events, including major international sporting exhibitions and tournaments.

The official Jubilee Games website has now been launched by the International Organizing Team. The website provides detailed information about the Jubilee Games, including sporting schedules, travel and accommodation and all non-sporting activities. The Canadian National Coordinating Team is continuing to work with the Ismaili Travel Alliance across the country to negotiate travel discounts and to assist with making travel arrangements for Jamati members who wish to travel to the Games.  Click here to view travel information as it becomes available.

Traveling to Dubai

Please visit the Government of Canada’s website for updated and complete information on requirements to visit the UAE. An excerpt is provided below.

A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians who wish to visit Dubai or any part of the United Arab Emirates. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into the country.

As of June 1st, 2013, Canadians with a regular Canadian passport no longer need to obtain a visa prior to their arrival to the UAE. An entry stamp will be given at the airport, free of charge, and valid for 30 days.  For more details please refer to the Travel Report at www.travel.gc.ca and the UAE Embassy's website. Note, no application in advance of travel is necessary.

Overstays : A penalty charge of 25 to 100 AED per day is imposed on visitors who overstay. If the overstay extends to a significant amount of time, then a court hearing is issued and the judge will decide what penalties will occur.
