On January 27, we enjoyed the company of 172 healthcare providers at the Ismaili Centre Toronto for a special event on newcomer health. Our speakers - Council for Canada President Ameerally Kassim-Lakha, Council for Ontario President Nimira Dhalwani, and Sheherazade Hirji - shared insights on welcoming our newly arrived Jamat. We event learned some fun facts about Afghanistan and the Afghan Jamat. And of course no Ismaili event is complete without delicious food and live music!
