Perspectives: Adult Religious Education Program
'Perspectives' is an adult religious education curriculum program, designed to provide participants with an understanding of the principles of the faith, and how to apply these to the questions and challenges of daily life. It also aims to build confidence in communicating to others who we are as Ismailis
This 6-week session series will be offered for BUI parents and guardians at Brampton and Halton Jamatkhanas, and for young adults at Meadowvale Jamatkhana.
Learners will explore the theme, 'Journeys of Faith', by discussing Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him and his progeny) significance in Islamic traditions through devotional expressions, and analyzing Qur'anic verses about his authority as Allah's Messenger. Participants will also explore contemporary articulation of Imamat and the spiritual bond between the Imam and his murids by reviewing metaphorical phrases in the Qur'an through the lens of the Ismaili Imams and the Ismaili constitution.
