The Education Minister’s Youth Council is an opportunity for 40 junior and senior high school students from Alberta to provide their input on education initiatives, reflecting their diverse background, interests, and perspectives. They will also build positive working relationships and participate in leadership opportunities.
Students ages 14 to 19 (as of September 1, 2021) can apply by March 24. Council members will serve a 10-month term from September 2021 to June 2022, and meet with the Minister of Education and Alberta Education staff in three weekend conferences. COVID-19 safety precautions will be taken.
