In a recent article by the Toronto Star, Toronto Police have seen an increase in scams targeting the public. Senior citizens tend to be easy targets as it's likely they possess valued assets, like a home. The Older Women's Network (Ontario) has also identified an increase in calls by CRA scammers, especially during tax season. All members of the Jamat are strongly encouraged to beware of such activity and take necessary precautions.
