Ramadan Food Drive 2024

Each year hundreds of thousands of Canadians need emergency food support, and now many more Canadians have been impacted in different ways especially with the rise of inflation. Food banks and other charities are currently dealing with food shortages, increasing client numbers, and other new challenges.

During the month of Ramadan March 10 - April 9 2024, Ismaili CIVIC will be partnering with various grocers and other organizations across the country to engage the public at large in donating newly purchased food items to various regional food banks.

• Low-sodium and low-sugar options.
• Canned fruit and vegetables.
• Whole-grain rice or legumes.
• Pasta and pasta sauce.
• Baby formula.
• Peanut butter.
• Canned soups, beans and stews.
• Canned protein (fish and meat).
• Vegan or Halal options.
