Volunteer Opportunities: Project Manager and Communications Lead

The Ontario Physicians Alliance brings together Ismaili physicians across Ontario to network, collaborate on projects, and work to improve the health of the Jamat.

We are looking for two volunteers – a Project Manager and a Communications Lead.

Project Manager

You will:

1. Provide administration support for meetings and scheduling for OPA team and events.
2. Support in planning an event from start to end and create marketing for programs.
3. Team leadership - manage a team of 2-3 admin support staff.

You should be:

• organized and able to develop and run events
• have marketing skills: planning, creation of posters, printing of posters and tickets, emailing and use of Instagram/Facebook and Whatsapp.  
• be flexible and able to multitask

Communications Lead

We are looking for a creative and energetic person to help the Physicians Alliance to market our events including:

• develop a website for the Physicians Alliance
• market on social media
• market events through communication channels like the Al-Akhbar
• market through the Alliance network
• develop a quarterly newsletter

About You:

• experience with marketing and communications (ideal)
• ability to collaborate with other team members including administration and IT
• creative and able to think outside the box
