World Partnership Walk Marks Its 40th Anniversary

The World Partnership Walk, an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), is Canada's largest annual event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for global poverty alleviation. Each year, the Walk takes place in cities across the country, bringing together thousands of Canadians to support sustainable development programs. Learn more about AKFC.

 

This year, on May 26, 2024, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Walk. This momentous occasion saw the presence of key government and civic leaders, as well as esteemed leaders from the Ismaili community, underscoring the event's importance and widespread support.

 

Over the years, the WPW as raised millions of dollars, directly impacting numerous communities worldwide. For example, funds have been used to improve healthcare, education, and economic opportunities in underprivileged regions. Learn more about the World Partnership Walk.
