Capacity Reduction in Toronto Jamatkhanas

In light of the recent significant increase of COVID-19 in the City of Toronto, Toronto Public Health has imposed stricter safety measures, as well as strong recommendations for Places of Worship, to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  As a result, capacity at Headquarters, Don Mills, East York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, and Willowdale Jamatkhanas will be reduced to 50 Jamati members.  The transition to the new capacity will be done over the next few days.  For Jamatkhanas with social halls, we will continue to leverage them for prayer space.

These measures will reduce the risk of transmission within our Jamat, along with diligence to hand hygiene, physical distancing, wearing a clean mask at all times, and screening for symptoms - both in Jamatkhana and in our communities.  We appreciate the Jamat’s efforts to keep all of us safe and thank you for your cooperation.
