Imamat Day Message from the Premier of Ontario

On the occasion of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s 66th Imamat Day, the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford has issued the following message to the Ismaili community in Ontario:

"Warm greeting to our Ismaili Muslim community as you mark the anniversary of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV becoming the 49th hereditary and spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslims. 

During these past 66 years, His Highness the Aga Khan has been a true humanitarian leader - working to end global poverty, promoting education, fostering unity and advocating for a decent quality of life for all. 

Thank you to the Canadian Ismaili Muslim community for your many contributions to this great province and country. The Ismail Council for Ontario's various initiatives embody the true spirit of the Aga Khan. 

I wish all Ismaili Muslims the best in this joyous celebration."
