Living with Diabetes: Programs and Tips
Diabetes is a chronic disease which often affects the senior population. A balanced diet and active lifestyle are both important aspects of managing this disease. The Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) also offers useful resources to help ease the burden of diabetes in everyday life
Free Virtual Health Coaching
The CDA offers free Virtual Health Coaching. This is a telephone-based service in which you can speak with a certified health coach to address any challenges you may have dealing with diabetes. They offer two 45-minute telephone sessions, and one 20-minute follow-up. The purpose of this is to help build decision-making and planning skills which will build confidence, receive tools to help you make and sustain healthy behavioural choices throughout your diabetes journey.
