Webinar: Coping as a Caregiver
Coping as a caregiver for a chronically ill family member can be challenging physically and mentally. The circumstances may leave you as the family caregiver feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, buried deep, perhaps seeing no way out. The Caregiver Network is offering a webinar intended for caregivers and professionals on Wednesday, August 24, 2019 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. It will be hosted by Eleanor Silverberg, a social worker and grief specialist. The session will aim to improve coping ability by providing information on:
- Different styles of coping.
- Three elements of a strength-enhancing coping regimen.
- The pivotal role that loss plays in the caregiving experience.
- A self-monitoring coping tool for addressing loss and adversity to apply in following the coping regimen.
A period of question/answer will follow the presentation.
