Q&M Counsellor in Training (CIT) Mosaic Application

Mosaic (ages 10–12) 

This fun-filled and inspiring summer week program (residential camp) for Ismaili Muslim youth between the ages of 6-9 is geared towards reinforcing the ethics and values of the Shia Ismaili Muslim faith. The program aims to help participants discover their potential and understanding through activities, discussions, role plays and sport. Mosaic will create lasting impressions on all participants as they learn about themselves and their role in the communities in which they live.

Job Description: 

  • Counsellors-In-Training will work with their Directors and Counsellors to plan, execute and assess all aspects of the program within their region. Counsellors-in-Training will ensure that National curriculum and activities are implemented at the Regional level, and will work within a team to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all participants. 
    • Time commitment for the program includes work on evenings and weekends, up to 2-5 hours per week.  Counsellors-in-Training must be available to attend the full duration of the camp. Please note this is a volunteer position and an honourarium will not be offered.
    • Age Requirement: Applicant must be 16 years of age or older (as of application deadline).

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Previous experience will children is appreciated but not necessary; and
  2. Applicant must have or be willing to obtain First Aid Certification and a Police Information Check.
