Dementia is on the rise in Canada. Over half a million Canadians are living with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. As our population ages, this number will nearly double by 2030.
Join us for a special Webinar where Cathy Barrick, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and Jennifer Lyle, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., will talk about dementia, its risk factors, risk reduction strategies and supports and resources available in the community. We will also hear lived experiences from Shebina Amlani and Rahima Amiri who care for their parents living with dementia.
This webinar will also mark the official launch of the National Dementia Strategy to introduce and implement programming, education, and awareness on dementia and to support our Jamat living with dementia and their families. Let’s come together to learn about dementia and raise awareness about it.
