Registering to Vote in the Upcoming Federal Election

The next federal election will be taking place on Monday, September 20. Exercise your democratic responsibility and vote if you are eligible to do so.
To register and vote in a federal election, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- be a Canadian citizen
- Bring proof of your identity and address
There are a few ways you can register to vote.
Register before you go to vote:
- Use the Online Voter Registration Service by Tuesday, September 14, 6pm (local time)
- Visit any Elections Canada office across Canada in person by Tuesday, September 14, 6pm (local time)
Register when you go to vote:
- At your assigned polling station on election day.
- At your assigned polling station on advance polling days.
