Arfie Lalani is a professional graphic designer who specializes in fashion design, while wearing many hats in the design world. For almost a decade he has provided his creative and technical expertise to Canadian companies such as KANIA, RBC Bluesfest, the Aga Khan Development Network, and the Richard Robinson Academy of Fashion Design, where he received multiple awards for fashion designer of the year (2011, 2020).
For him, it’s not about following trends, it’s about using his inner voice to create art inspired by fashion. He is inspired to create work that harnesses and harmonizes the dualities in his intense creative energy. In addition, he has grown this skill for design, especially by combining streetwear and his love of urban culture with clean lines, architectural pieces, and a clear attention to detail.
Arfie draws inspiration from many places, but most importantly he is inspired by spirituality and faith, music, visual art, technology, and culture.
He showcased a couture dress, designed in the shape of a butterfly, at the National Jubilee Arts festival in Toronto.
After working 7 years in the Fashion Retail industry for a Canadian start-up as a Senior Designer, and due to the recent economic status from the pandemic, Arfie has now taken his skills towards a focus in User Experience Design (UX Design). While still bringing his edgy creative skills to the table, he focuses on creating strategic experiences for his clients in branding and user interface development.
