Jamil is a multimedia visionary who has turned his passion for the arts into a thriving business called Third Eye Pro. His Vancouver-based company produces stunning visual content across a variety of digital and print mediums. Jamil's journey began after he was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. This life-changing event led him to pursue his passion for the creative arts and bridge them with the ever-changing multimedia industry. Over the last two decades Jamil has captured hundreds of events through photos and video, helped to design the branding for numerous companies, and completed a wide variety print installations.

Jamil’s artistic spirit was a produce of his upbringing. He would work alongside his father Nashir, photographed weddings and even had an opportunity to photograph Mawlana Hazar Imam, all while running a city-wide movie rental business. He also helped his mother Yasmin, who had a passion for fashion, renovate her South Asian fashion store into a chic venue. At the family restaurant Jambo Grill, which they opened in 2005, Jamil’s interior design talents are showcased through over 50 feet of printed murals and a specially designed paan bar.

Jamil's community-driven ethos blossomed during the Golden Jubilee when he was selected to film Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visit to Vancouver. Soon after, he was chosen to document his peers throughout East Africa on the Heritage Development Tour, a momentous experience for him. He has provided multimedia services for many Ismaili Alliances including numerous events for Ignite Conference, World Partnership Walk and Golf Tournaments. During the Diamond Jubilee his company was contracted as one of the two design agencies for the celebrations in Canada, and was the post production lead for the Canada Visit Video. He was also selected as a primary videographer for Hazar Imam’s Vancouver visit, and captured multiple Jubilee celebrations including Salim-Sulaiman's concert and the Jubilee Arts Festival.

One of his most significant achievements was his short film The Journey - Rumi Recomposed, in which he was able to express himself through his performance, cinematography, and Rūmī’s poetry.  The film was recorded at the Ismaili Centre Vancouver, right across the street from where he grew up, and a place where he has always found solitude. He has since created an extended portfolio of work related to the Centre, including interviewing its architect Bruno Freshci for the 35th anniversary video. Jamil’s Jubilee Arts film unveiled the Ismaili Centre in a new light with never-before-seen aerial footage. Touching on all four creative prompts: Devotion, Aspiration, Legacy, and Time, this film toured across Canada and was presented at the Jubilee Arts Film Festival in Lisbon. With over 250 hours devoted to this 5 minute film, he states, “producing The Journey was like a pilgrimage.”

Seeking inspiration from the world around him, Jamil is motivated by an insatiable desire for learning and personal development. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of his expertise and keeping up to date with technological advancements. When setting time for reflection he refers to Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī quotes, “You are the universe in ecstatic motion… the entire ocean in a drop.”
