Nasir Ayam - Singer and Musician

Nasir Ayam is an avid musical performer, trained in singing and playing the harmonium. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and is currently settled in Montreal. Over the past 14 years, he has showcased his talents at numerous concerts, weddings, as well as cultural and community events in Canada as well as in Europe. During this time, he has also released a CD of his music in addition to many YouTube videos, where his exceptional talents as both a singer and a musician are clearly evident. His compositions have also earned him top awards. Nasir has also sought to help others develop their talents and has trained a number of musicians learn how to play different instruments.

Nasir was asked to perform as a singer at the Homage Ceremony at Aiglemont in Gouvieux, France to mark the beginning of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee. He performed in a devotional soundscape to accompany the historic event with an ensemble of 22 Ismaili musicians from around the world. 

Nasir says that his music is a passion which brings him closer to his community.
