Volunteer with the Settlement Portfolio

The Settlement Portfolio promotes the settlement & development of newly arrived Ismailis The Settlement Portfolio acts as a bridge to resources, and supports the delivery of services by institutions and the community.

We have two focused programs, RKI (Rahe Kamyabi, meaning roadway to success) and MTP (Management Training Program). RKI is a mentoring program for those that are looking to achieve long term personal or professional goals. MTP teaches interested murids about management and leadership skills leading up to seva within our institutions. 

The Settlement Portfolio is seeking individuals that can help with project management, liaising with the Ismaili institutional resources, marketing, administrative assistance, and a number of other areas. Open Forum Session for Post-Secondary and Young Ismaili Adults

The Jamati Institutions are hosting open forum sessions with institutional leadership for Post-Secondary students and Young Ismaili Adults (ages 18-40 only) on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Downtown Jamatkhana after Jamati ceremonies.

This session will provide an opportunity for the post-secondary students and young adults to ask questions related to the Imamat, and the work of the Jamati and Imamat institutions. Jamati sessions will be held in the near future.

The Jamat is invited to a Family Day event with seniors, youth, and juniors on Saturday, February 18 at East York Jamatkhana after Jamati ceremonies, including card making, a presentation on importance of family, dinner and musical entertainment. An Evening in Conversation with Ali Velshi

The first coffee lounge of 2017 features an evening in conversation with Ali Velshi, MSNBC Chief Business Analyst and Anchor, at Scarborough Jamatkhana on Friday, January 27 after Jamati ceremonies. Non-Ismaili family members are welcome to attend. To register, please click here.

New Year's Eve Celebration

A New Year's Eve Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 31st at the Ottawa Headquarters Jamatkhana. The event promises to be a fun-filled, family-friendly evening with music and special children's activities. Dinner will be served at 8:30 pm. Tickets are on sale every Friday starting December 9th with an early bird price for tickets purchased before Saturday, December 24th.
